It's pretty sad when you have to ask the co to df you in order that you can appeal it because the elders are so corrupt and cover up a family's illigal activity and then you find out your accusers are that whole family's relatives who can't remember jack! That the co wouldn't allow me to get df'd knowing that the next committee would see this was just BS! And all this gave them the right to rip my family away from which they did just by public reproofing me as well as df'ing my spouse. So now, what's your story and why are you here?

Mom & Dad (Uber Dubs) and convo about child abuse within the BORG

so i tt mom and dad via skype last weekend (they live on the other part of the county) and the topic of abuse came up.

of course they went ahead and blasted catholics for their coverups.

i mentioned gonzalo campos, now mom and dad know this guy he went to their hall for several years in san diego.

If they set up a jc and you don't go, you will automatically be df'd on the grounds of a bad attitude. That's what happened to hubby. As far as witnesses go 1 Corinthian 13:1, they do not apply it. I supposedly was suppose to have twenty-five accusers from my hall and yet not one story was the same and not one story had two witnesses yet the co said because there were twenty-five with "similar" stories I got publically reproved for discourageing ones from pioneering five years ago. I guess that's where the brazen conduct rule comes in. They can go back as far as they want even if the accusers couldn't remember their stories.

Bottom line-if they like you you won't have to worry about it. If you don't care if you get df'd then don't bother going to any hearings.

Reading Deuteronomy 15:12-18 was showing how that slave would be happy pleaseing his master that after the seven years once freed from being a slave he still wanted to serve his master no matter what. How he was entrusted with all his masters belongings. We are the faithful and discreet slaves. You don't see us plastering our faces and names in all the publications handing them out to the public. You don't see these eight goons helping the poor first, widows and orphans in the congregations first, and then the Levite priests would be next on the list for they had put their whole lives teaching( tithes) and then the rest of the money went on the needs of the congregation like the buildings or whatever. Everything goes to the WBT$.

Again, Jesus was quoteing from the Torah when he was useing that PARABLE about the faithful and discreet slave to his apostles whom by the way wrote these inspired scriptures and who are the foundation described in at Revelation 21:14.

You can't expect anything spiritual from these" lawless" (men without Torah) men

What is the WT's definition of an Apostate...

i don't mean the 'unruly men who cook up wicked reasoning and season their brew with poisonous lies that deceive minds' definition.... i mean - who are they actually referring to when they are doing these awful talks at the conventions about the mentally diseased apostates etc.. specifically - is an 'apostate' someone who was actually baptised (baptized for you american's ) ?

or can someone who was simply raised in "the truth" but left and was never baptised be classified as this lying, deceiving, mentally diseased apostate also?

or am i considered to be an apostate - even though i wasn't raised in the cult, never went to a meeting etc.

But then look what happened to us. Hubby tried telling the one elder that the fds didn't start until 1919 according to their new light and the elder said that wasn't true. That the fds has been here since the apostles. Then he pointed his finger at hubby and said your an apostate and said he was df'd. That's all it took. When it came to my jc I kindly reminded him (since he was on my jc) what he did to my hubby and he admitted that hubby was right but still wouldn't reinstated him. (don't worry, hubby knows for sure this is not the truth)We have it all on tape. To me I believe more than anything in this world society's definition of apostasy is anyone who believes in the bible period! To them it's all about their trashy literature and false doctrines. It's no wonder the spot they picked to build their new world headquarters is in a protected rattlesnake pit! Check it out for yourselves.

Question regarding parental obligation to report to authorities

i am relatively new to the forum, and not quite as familiar with all of the ins and outs of jw culture as many of you are, so i apologize if this is an ignorant question.

it is quite apparent the wt has handled child abuse allegations in a horrible way, viewing it as sin as opposed to a crime.

after an allegation is reported to the elders, and they are not required by law to report to the authorities, why don't parents simply go to the authorities themselves and report the crime.

As the elders told me in my jc this past week, that they would expect the victim and/or their family to go straight to the police. That it would be between the victim, the criminal and the law. Total different story we got from our other elder(serving on this same body of dim wits) who also is a fill-in circuit overseer that the body of elders have no say as to what they can do to pedophiles that they are to report it to the branch office. That their hands(the elders) are tied in these situations and that it's up to the branch office to decide what will be done with the pedophile. So, there still seems to be a lack of communication with the headquarters and our elders where pedophilia is concerned. I wouldn't expect anything honorable from these goons!

had another conversation with my wife this morning

" "how do you still go and do all this spiritual stuff now that you know that my research and letter to bethel shows that the jw religion denies us the messiah"?

she got all defensive and disagreed again with what i wrote to bethel and then i had to step in and tell her that its "its them that teaches that we don't have a mediator in christ and were not under the new covenant".

The two soft covered bibles we have are both revised 1984. The scriptures where one bible has the brackets are at Romans 6:7 For he who has died has been acquitted from (his) sin. It's not your death but Jesus death who acquitted you from sin. The King James and other bibles just read For he who is dead is freed from sin. Get it? And the other scripture is found at Colossians 1:16 which reads because by means of him all (other) things were created in the heavens and upon the earth, the things visible and the things invisible, no matter whether they are thrones or lordships or governments or authorities. All (other) things have been created through him and for him. The other same bible has the brackets taken away. With the brackets it separates Jesus from the rest but with out the brackets it supports a trinity. He's all in one. And that's what the society doesn't want. Acts 18:21 has a whole line taken out. What it reads is Paul bidding them farewell saying by all means I must keep the feast that is coming in Jerusalem but I will return again unto you if god will. If they kept the feasts in the old testament and we will be keeping them in the millenium Zechariah 14 then why wouldn't we be practicing them now so we'll know how to do them after. All the days and months on when to do them are recorded in the bible. And we have the two witnesses to verify when to do the Passover as well, the moon and the barley. The moon and the sun were put here for the appointed times. The appointed times not meaning day and night as you will find out as you read on in the bible. And all the feasts match up to the trumpets. Jesus made rich all the feasts at his death. Four of the trumpets have been done and now we await the next three. It's all there in the bible. Right to Revelation. As far as the teachings of the Sabbaths, feasts and festivals, and trumpets look up 119 ministries, Jim Staley, Michael Rood Nehemiah Gordon ect,, there's quite afew really good torah teachers as well as scholars you can listen to and there's just no way you can dispute their teachings once you've listened to afew of them. I just makes too much sense and makes the bible so much easier to understand. Almost too easy once you see what you were never taught from the society. We talking yesterday at our study and all of us said the same thing, how is it we came across these teachings. The only thing we can think of is Yehovah is calling his lost people back. The veils are being lifted off of peoples faces. Check it out and let me know what you think. It's way closer to the truth than these goons. Look at the scripture at Zechariah 14:16-19 says we'll be keeping the festival of booths like they did when they came out of Egypt. Leviticus 23:41 reads we do it as a statute to time indefinite. Exodus 31:16 says to keep the Sabbath to time indefinite. Jesus is lord of the Sabbath. He kept the Sabbath and came to teach what the Pharisees had gone beyond what was written in the Law or Torrah. Check it out. These torrah teachers use the whole bible but will tell you in order to understand the greek you have to read the Hebrew scriptures first. Everything Jesus taught was from the Torrah. Paul was well versed in the torrah and quoted from it all the time. You start to get a different meaning from the bible once you start just using the bible and no doctrinal literature. That's what we have found. There is no true religion out there until Jesus comes again but this so far is way closer than what we were taught. There you go, some new research for you to look up that will quickly take your mind away from the cult you have been serving. Your wife won't feel so bad once you show her what the society has been hiding from you. Test everything to make sure it originates with god and his purpose

Also, once the elders start getting defencive on her, you will be the person she'll feel safe with and know she can talk to you about anything without any back lashes. Julia has it right. Love bomb her for my husband was by my side every inch of the way includeing in my jc hearing. Even when the elders told me he couldn't be there I got my own way in the end and thank god he was there for they tried to pull some heavy crap on me.
